Implementation of project „Heritage Tourism“ consultation programme

In spring 2012 fifteen Estonian and fifteen Latvian rural tourism farms were selected to project „Heritage Tourism“ consultation programme. Those 30 farms have now opportunity to improve in close co-operation with experienced consultants their product and services using traditional cultural heritage. Today all tourism farms have composed their development plans and started the implementation process.

Consultants are selected for Heritage Tourism consultation programme

 The Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce and Latvian Country Tourism Association "Lauku Celotajs" arranged in April 2012 tenders for selecting experts, who will support 15 rural tourism businesses from Estonia and 15 from Latvia during consultation programme. The experts will compose in close co-operation with businesses an action plan and support the implementation of these action plans with their professional expertise. 


Consultations

15 tourism farms from Estonia and 15 from Latvia have been selected by “Heritage Tourism” project Steering Group for Consultation programme. The main consultation needs of businesses are: preparation and serving of national food (14 businesses), using cultural heritage in architecture (6 businesses) and inner decoration (10 businesses) of premises, arrangement of traditional events and composing heritage related programmes for visitors (11 businesses). In April-May 2012 tourism businesses will compose development plans, which will be implemented using free consultation of professional experts during next 12 months.
